Mama Dilo's is one of those local places that just has a charm all it's own. Bring in a visitor from out of town and they'll look and say, Wha? But once you've had the food and met Ernie and Mary, you'll be coming back for a while. The menu is mostly sandwiches, but there are a few salads.

I enjoyed my sub from this quaint shop. According to the locals and my Uncle this place has been here for awhile. The interior of the place could be upgraded but who's on yelp for the schematics of what a building looks like. We are here for the food! Yes, the price for through sub is a bit steep but it's very tasty and enjoyable. You can tell that the "sub" maker cared for the product rather than just slabbing two pieces of bread together. The slaw or lettuce they put in the sub is different in a good way and gives the sub a pop rather than the typical meat and cheese feel. Good people who run the sub shop, great bite to eat, and reasonable price.

Nope. Had the vegetarian sandwich with multiple cheeses (I forget the name) and it was awful. For $8, I was expecting more than a few slices of cheese (unmelted), lettuce, and tomato. Will not be back...sticking with my Publix subs from now on. Service was poor as waitress had some 'tude towards us and the people seated around us.

Great sandwiches made with love. They have a dressing mix that they add to their lettuce that compliments their sandwich beautifully. Keep up the good work!

Love this little dive! All the sandwiches are awesome. I used to live in WH and I miss this place.

Talk about mouth-watering. slurp. slurp. Order the Hallett and sit back and wait. Hot turkey and roast beef, smoked gouda, smothered with Italian salad and a hint of their special Thousand Island on a melt-in-your-mouth toasted bun. Small is huge for 6.50 or large is huger at 7.50. Originally owned by Mama DiLorenzo, who raised six kids, now owned by one of the kids. Am sure the other sandwiches are as delicious. The Hollywood is also talked about. They cook their own roast beef. Divey looking on the outside, but once inside, you'll be hooked. Sometimes they have fresh baked cookies for purchase on the counter. Seems like your own mom--looking after you. They make their own Italian meatballs and related dinners as well as sandwiches. If you need to die and go to heaven for just a little bit, stop here! 5/20/11. I ordered Vicki's Delight, a four cheese hot sub with Italian salad. The small was $7.75. It melted in my mouth. I want to try Drummer's Delight next. The clerk was recommending the meatball sub but I'm enjoying the sliced meats and cheeses. Both Pepsi & Coke products, heavy on the ice when served. Cookies sold out! Darn

I visited Mama Dilo's in January 2010 while visiting family in the area. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was thoroughly impressed with my roast beef sandwich, and will definitely go back again as soon as I get the chance. Its great to know that the family run deli exists and can be so good!

We may try this place again but our first experience was rather lackluster. Our sandwiches were small for the price, skimpy on meat and the beef in one of them was truly tasteless. The drinks we were served were very heavy on the ice, which left us thirsty rather quickly, and it was unclear whether refills were allowed. The staff does not come back to the table to check on your satisfaction or answer questions even during slow times of day. I suppose what we received was fresher than fare found at the fast food places, but we were hungry afterward, so that's not fun. We'll spend our 20 bucks in a different way next time.

Mama Dilo's for lunch! They have the best subs in town. Made fresh before your eyes and great for a quick lunch or snack. You can get them to go or slow down and enjoy eating in one of the many comfortable booths. This happens to be where I first tried capicola, Italian spiced ham. So good! The owners are also the nicest people you ever met.
